Piano Category Information
Competition Information
Date: Saturday, July 12th, 2025, 12 PM - 3 PM.
Location: Music Do Re Mi Johns Creek, 10475 Medlock Bridge Rd, Johns Creek, GA 30097, Building 525.
Repertoire: The student is free to play whichever music selection he/she prefers but should choose the one piece that best represents his/her musical ability.
Time Limit: The recommended minimum for all age groups is 2 minutes of performance time.
8 & Under: 6 minutes maximum
9-10: 8 minutes maximum
11-12: 10 minutes maximum
Performance Expectations: Students are expected to treat the competition as a recital performance, so they should wear formal performance attire, bow to the competition audience, etc.
Check-in/Warmup: Warmup rooms will be provided to participants at the check-in desk 20 minutes before their scheduled competition time.
Private Lesson Information
Availability: Private lessons are offered to the top 3 winners in each age group (8 & under, 9-10, 11-12), for a total of 9 students.
Timing/Content: 45 minute lessons on the student's competition music selection.
Date: Monday, July 21st, 2025 to Friday, July 25th, 2025, scheduled to the student's availability.
Location: Music Do Re Mi Johns Creek, 10475 Medlock Bridge Rd, Johns Creek, GA 30097, Building 525.
Workshop Information
Availability: Workshops are open to ALL participants and their parents in the music festival, with sessions separated by age group.
Timing/Content: 1 hour 30 minute workshops as studio classes and/or artist seminars for technique, performance, and practicing.
Date: Saturday, July 26th, 2025.
8 & Under: 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM
9-10: 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM
11-12: 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM

End-of-Summer Recital Information
Availability: The top 3 winners in each Piano age group will be invited to perform at the recital, and all other participants, parents, and guests are encouraged to attend. The recital will be open to the public.
Timing/Content: 2 hour long recital; students perform their competition music selection.
